Hot Bitches Get Money

 Since I spend a lot of time Instagramming, I've decided I'm going to do recaps on all my photos :) this week's been pretty low key; I didn't Instagram too much so today, alls you get is a shot of my nails. I'm wearing OPI's "Elephantastic Pink" and ORLY's "Glitz and Glamour".

Thursday night, I spun for 2 1/2 hours at Commissary, got home at around 2:30am, studied until 4:00am, fell asleep and then woke up again at 8:00am to get ready for school. After a long day of school and work, I was pretty pooped so Friday night was the night to stay in. A friend suggested we watch Howl's Moving Castle (I've never seen an anime before!), and omgz... it was pretty effing cool. I loved all the detailed scenes and kept pausing Netflix to look for little random thingies.

When I first started reading blogs, Karla from Karla's Closet immediately caught my eye. Even after all this time, I can still say that Karla's blog is easily one of my favorites. Her style is very distinct and one that she can definitely call her own. With that being said, I nearly died when I visited her site today and saw that Natalie from Tales of Endearment interviewed her. For you five or six people that follow me (thank you <3!), you guys know that I fucking looove Tales of Endearment. Check out the interview here!

What started off as a pretty awesome day turned out to be really fucking stupid. I got this rad Mawi ring though.

The West Is Dead

I've been meaning to visit the new What Goes Around for a while now. I've read countless reviews about the new location and yesterday, I finally got a chance to check it out.

The moment I walked in, I thought to myself how beautiful, open, and bright the space was in comparison to the old one. Not that I didn't like the old space, but this one definitely served as a better home. The clothes were beautifully displayed and everything was well organized from the denim and tees all down to the preserved cigarette boxes and vintage Chanel. The layout is so perfect, one would think it was custom made to specially house each piece inside the store. I even got to look around "the back room" where certain items were set aside for celebrity stylists a la Rachel Zoe. I touched each garment and couldn't help but think to myself what she would have said if she was there:
"I die."
"Ba-na-nas."
"In-sane."
I laughed at how stupid the thought was but quite frankly, I couldn't have said it better myself.

My guy walked out with a beautiful pair of Levi's Made & Crafted and a new tee from The West Is Dead, a brand that I previously never heard of before. After a bit of research, I learned that their pieces are made right here in L.A. and that a portion of the proceeds go to Native American tribes to "repopulate the native lands with bison". Awesome!

I look forward to many more L.A. trips knowing that What Goes Around is right across the street from AmRag. Saweet!

While browsing What Goes Around Comes Around's Facebook page, I stumbled upon this amazing blog. The front page reads: "Stories about friends, vintage, love, style, and life." I love it when bloggers post more than their everyday outfits; it becomes far more intimate when people tell their stories. Tales of Endearment definitely takes me there.
