Party Timez!

I've been incredibly busy lately, what with planning two birthday dinners for my brother's 21st birthday, going to school, brooding over work, selling a shit ton of stuff on eBay, and doing last-minute details for my 23rd birthday party, I've been slammed. By the way, I hate it when people do that... they have what I call "laundry list" conversations where they sorta list everything they're doing into one sentence but I've been a terrible blogger lately so forgive me.

Nick's surprise birthday dinner was very sweet. The weekend after his birthday (which also happens to be the same weekend before mine), he called up all of his friends to set up a dinner but everyone said that they were busy. In reality, we were all planning a surprise dinner for him for that weekend. Saturday night came around and my parents drove my brother to the restaurant while I was already there settling everyone in. The cover story was that I was going to meet them at Lazy Dog Cafe for my birthday, to which my brother replied:

"What? Are you sure? But she doesn't even like that place."
Dad: "D--uhhhhh, she picked it."
Nick: "Erm... okay..." *shrug*

Haha! He knows me so well! It was weird because the dinner was at Buca, not Lazy Dog so my brother was probably confused when they pulled up at the restaurant. We all had the menus in front of our faces and yelled "SURPRISE" as soon as he walked in and all he could do was stutter; he had no idea! The look on his face was so priceless and it was very sweet. It was a great dinner and the best part was that he ordered a pear soda <3 no alcohol for my Nicky.

My birthday party was very cute as well. It was a lot of peoples' first time at the house so I had to make sure everything was perfect. There was a lot of last minute stringing of lights, lighting candles, cleaning, etc., so it wasn't as easy as getting everyone to a restaurant, but all in all, it was a very relaxing and low-key night. It was a fun and wonderful birthday weekend for my brother and I but now I'm ready for things to go back to normal.

By the way, where did this year go? It's already October! Tell me what your plans are for Halloween.
